Asus VivoBook Pro 14 launched with Ryzen 5000 H-series processors

 

Asus has launched VivoBook Pro 14 powered by the latest Ryzen 5000 H-series processors in China. Let’s take a quick look at the specs and features of the new Asus VivoBook Pro 14 alongside its expected price in Nepal.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 Overview:

Design and Display

The Asus VivoBook Pro 14 has a metal lid with CNC embossed logo. It’s a sleek notebook that is just 17.9mm thick and weighs around 1.35 kg. Thus, you will have no problem carrying it around in your backpack.

 

Coming to the display, it has a 14-inch 90Hz OLED panel with a 2.8K resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels. This screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is Pantone Validated. It has support for 10-bit color depth and thus is able to produce over 1 billion colors. Similarly, its peak brightness is listed at 600 nits.

Keyboard, Touchpad

The keyboard here is backlit with three levels of brightness to choose from. The keycaps have a concave curve of 0.15mm. Similarly, each key has a travel distance of 1.4mm. The backspace has an integrated fingerprint scanner that supports Windows Hello authentication. Moving on, its touchpad is also fairly large, scaling to 5.9-inches.

 

Performance and Memory

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 is powered by high-performance Ryzen 5000 H-series mobile processors. Users can choose between the hexa-core Ryzen 5 5600H and octa-core Ryzen 7 5800H. The former has a base clock speed of 3.3GHz and a turbo speed of 4.2GHz. Ryzen 7 5800H, on the other hand, has a base clock frequency of 3.2GHz and a turbo speed of 4.4GHz.

Asus has included two fans and two heat pipes to keep the core temperature down. Users can switch between three performance modes – High performance, Balanced mode, and Silent mode. You’ll have to do with the integrated graphics since this laptop doesn’t have a discrete GPU. VivoBook Pro 14 comes with 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM and 512GB of PCIe NVMe SSD.

The laptop is Wi-Fi 6 ready and features stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. For I/O, you have two USB 2.0 Type-A, one USB 3.0 Type-A, an HDMI port, and a microSD card reader. The webcam comes with a physical shutter too. Similarly, there are discrete keys to disable the camera and microphone, respectively.

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 Price in Nepal [Expected]

Asus VivoBook Pro 14 is now available in China where its price is 4,599 Yuan for the Ryzen 5 and 4,999 Yuan for the Ryzen 7 variant. If it launches here, we expect the starting price of Asus VivoBook Pro 14 in Nepal to be around NPR 100,000.
